The battle system and the OST are incredible, but everything else leaves a lot to be desired. Octopath Traveler, or Toshinden Traveler as I love to nickname it since it's eight traveling fighters brought together by a common destiny, is a good game, but it could have been much better. I honestly wonder how many people ended up even finishing more than one of the game's storylines though. In my Unneeded Opinion, I think this is an extremely good number for a new IP, especially when it comes to a JRPG other than Final Fantasy and Persona. Square Enix teased it'll release outside Japan as well.Īcquire is also working on Gladiux, a game that will possibly release on PS5. Tairiku no Hasha was supposed to launch in 2019 but got delayed to 2020. A beta test for Octopath Traveler Tairiku no Hasha was already held, and while it's free to play mobile, it's an actual RPG, with an actual ending.
